Artist Statement:

“I work on wood for its edginess, imperfections and strength. Wood’s willingness to be redefined, makes it a perfect medium for exploring the iconic meaning of inner change.”

Artist Bio:

Voodo Fe’, born in Brooklyn, NY, is a prolific renaissance artist who paints, creates clothing, graphics and music that mirrors his lifestyle of overcoming personal challenges and finding lessons during dark times.

Fe’, who has dealt with losing his parents, mental and physical issues, and substance abuse, has taken full control of his life by changing the meaning of his obstacles and making them work positively to effect change.

Voodo Fe’ works mostly in wood because it’s more durable than canvas and reflects the tough will power he lives with. Fe’ uses discarded objects and turns them into diamonds, the same way he used to see himself, now turning himself into a gem.

Voodo Fe’ has work in the homes of some of our cultures most recognizable celebrities such as Janelle Monáe, Tiger Woods, Rohan Marley, Ray Lewis, Raekwon the Chef and Ghostface Killah (Wu-Tang), Dave Chapelle and Talib Kweli. He has designed for the NBA, the NFL and iconic clothing brands like Calvin Klein, DKNY and April Walker’s Walker Wear.

Voodo Fe’, who lives by the motto of ‘Different, Defiant, Free’ is a continuing evolution of creativity and self discovery.
